we doctors r humans..so its natural that we might make mistakes sometimes.. but what if these mistakes (??? or intended) happens too often? i don wanna go into details of why or how.. i m describing my own experience
recently my grand ma got sick..i was not there then.. so they took him to a very famous doctor in darbhanga..he advised hospitalisation and some medicines..i came after some time and examined her.. i think it was lower respiratory tract infection only... but this doctor advised dexamethasone (in high dose) and deriphylline three times a day..wen i saw the whole prescription i was surprised... u can say it was killing mosquotoes with cannons..sounds silly na?
moreover, he had his suspicion of active pulmonary tuberculosis... man how can u give steroids wen u suspect active tuberculosis infection? more so wen steroids r nt needed!!!
and height was like this... after seeing blood reports he declares grand ma diabetic as blood sugar was high! damn, any 1st year medical student can xplain that wen u put any patient on steroids blood sugars will be elevated. u cant stamp all such patients diabetic!! u hv to repeat blood sugar wen steroids r stopped... and tis guy prescribed even medicines for diabetes...
wats this?? jus commercial compulsions...or irresponsibility..or somethin else??..wat do u think?

i agree with u , doctors now a days are more then money making machine, getting into depth of the problem and chaste intention to resolve , is something which u will rarely find it, since i personally experienced and that too from prestigious doctors of sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi...anything can be expected from others.
unfortunate bt true!!
